About Leigh Horton
Appellate and Patent Attorney, Engineer, and Entrepreneur

Descended from an east-Texas ranching family, Leigh isn't afraid to get her hands dirty and talk straight with her clients. Her no-nonsense problem solving saves clients money, time, and stress while producing results.

Leigh values Colorado because of her childhood years roaming the mountains of central Colorado, playing in the South Platte River, and experiencing drought and forest fires. She earned a degree in Geological Engineering from Colorado School of Mines, where she focused on resource extraction, mining, oil and gas, and hydrology.  Aware of the international and geopolitical importance of these commodities, she earned a master's degree in International Studies and a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver. After law school, Leigh clerked for Colorado Court of Appeals Judge Christina Gomez and worked in civil, commercial, and intellectual property litigation firms in Denver.

Leigh reads, gardens, plays the cello (badly), and volunteers with the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the world-renowned Explorer's Club.  She and her husband fly fish, hunt, rock climb, and volunteer with the Denver Zoo Conservation Alliances' boreal toad and pika conservation initiatives.
